We have developed the interest about olive oils for a couple of years as tendency to eat and feel healthy is nowadays in everyone’s mind. We had the chance to visit a producer friend at Priego de Cordoba, a small town located in the province of Andalusia at south of Spain, a unique and special town historically recognised for the importance and quality of its oils.
We started immediately after the first visit, objective was to build a business plan from scratch in which Craion was both developer and investor into a new market. Good news was that the right tools for the job were inside our toolbox which led to Design Thinking mode: ON.
First sessions were to sketch out a business idea, visualise and map out everything that goes on in the business model environment, industry and country tendencies, in an market well known to be attractive but difficult to embark in: The United States of America.
The Ideation Phase lasted about 2 weeks, and finished with stickies, markers and coffee cups all around the shop along with a sticked Canvas over a big window. We worked on the Business Plan, bought our plane tickets and headed to Miami.
The Validation Phase started on summer 2017 after enrolling us as vendors at one of the most important and fancy food shows in New York. Many hypothesis were validated and we proceeded to the incorporation of Genko Oils, LLC. By the beginning of 2018 the early stages of the Introduction phase are on rails.
By the beginning of 2018 evooforlife was launched! We are eager to keep expanding Craion´s business in quite an attractive economy.
